Despite broken toe, Melzer in Memphis final

Jurgen Melzer broke the big toe on his right foot just before the start of Memphis when he tripped on a bedspread that had fallen to the floor in his hotel room. Melzer still has managed to reach the final. "Of course it still hurts in extreme positions," Melzer told reporters. "It's a broken toe. You cannot just (heal) it somehow, (but) I'd break my toe any week playing like that."
