Stephens wants to avoid the misery

Sloane Stephens, who turned 19 on Tuesday, the same day she qualified for Miami, says that her primary goal is to stay healthy. "I see a lot of girls out here that are injured and they aren’t happy and they don’t enjoy it, and they just do it because it’s work," she told the Miami Herald.  "And it’s miserable. ... I want to enjoy myself, most of all. I see some of these girls that are not happy, and that makes me go, ‘Oh, my gosh, I don’t want to be not happy and feel terrible.' I could be No. 300 in the world and be injury free and happy and that would be good. I feel no pressure, none at all."
